How to Book your Car Hire with Tenerife Airport Car Hire
- Go to the “Search for Car Rental” box.
- The default setting in the box is for Tenerife South Airport. If you require a different collection point you can change this.
- To drop your rental car off at a different location check the box “return to a different location”.
- Enter your start date and time and end date and time and then click “search”.
- The site will then carry out a search of all the major car hire companies and display the current car hire offers on a “search results” page.
The Search Results page enables you to compare the different car hire companies offers and deals.
You can then select the car hire which best suits your requirements and price bracket.
On the left hand side of the Search Results page there is a “Filter Box”.
This enables you to narrow your search further.
You can filter your search according to the car hire company’s rating.
Choose which fuel policy you prefer and car specifications.
You can specify if you want a manual or automatic car, or if you prefer a diesel or petrol car etc.
There is a box above the “Filter Box” which will show the “Search Details” which the car rental options have been searched against.
You are able to edit these details via the “Edit” button.
You can change both the pick-up and drop-off points. Change the times of the pick-up and drop-off.

A quote will then be e-mailed to you.

You will then be taken to the next page “Options”.
On the Options Page you can add any extras to your booking.
DAMAGE REFUND INSURANCE
You can choose the option of a revised quote to include Damage Refund Insurance.
This covers the excess you are liable to pay for if there is any damage to the car.
Your car will be covered for collision damage waiver and theft protection by the car hire company. However, you will need to pay the excess on any claim made.
The different car rental companies vary in the amount of excess. Check how much your chosen car rental company charge for the excess before booking.
If you do not want to be liable for any excess and receive a full refund then tick the highlighted box.

Further down the page there is an Extras Box.
On the “Extras Box” you can add to your booking, car booster seats, child safety seats, GPS – Satellite Navigation System, or if you require an additional driver.
Any extras to your booking will be paid for when you collect your car hire from the car hire desk at the Airport.
You can request a further quote at this stage or continue to your booking by clicking “Book Now”.
By proceeding with “Book Now” you will be taken to the Details Page.
The Details Page will display your selected car hire offer and your pick-up and drop-off locations.
At this stage you can still choose to add Damage Refund Insurance and edit any Extras you have selected.
You will now fill in the Driver Details in the Driver Details Box below.
It is important that you fill in your flight number in this box so the car rental company know if your flight is delayed and when to anticipate your arrival.
Press the “Book Now” button and you will be taken to the Payment Page.
On this page you will fill in your payment details.
You can arrange payment with a debit or credit card, however when you go to collect your car from the car hire desk you will need to present your credit card. These details will be held by the car hire company.
When confirming payment of your car hire you will need to click the “Terms and Conditions” box to confirm that you have read these. We always recommend that you read these before ticking the box.
There are two sets of “Terms and Conditions”, one with the car hire firm and the other for confirmation of the booking.
When you have completed your payment details you will then be taken to the Confirmation Page.
Confirmation of your booking and booking details will be displayed and you will also receive a confirmation e-mail.
Your booking is now complete and you will just need to produce a copy of your booking confirmation or e-mail when you collect your rental car and you are ready to go!
