The answer is yes. You will be able to cancel your booking up to 24 hours in advance of your pick up date.
In most cases you will not be charged a cancellation fee.
It isn’t difficult to cancel your booking and below is a step by step guide how to cancel your car hire booking.

You need to check the cancellation terms of the the car hire company you made your reservation with. The terms for cancellation of the major car hire companies are all very similar.

If you have booked the “excess” insurance policy you will also need to cancel this.
In the majority of cases you will be offered a full refund up to 24 hours before your pick up time.
However, some car hire companies require 48 hours notice of cancellation. This will depend on the car hire you have chosen.
If your car hire company charges a cancellation fee this is usually an administration fee.
The administration fee is approximately 20€ (minimum 48 or 24 hours before your arrival).
If you cancel less than 24 hours before your chosen arrival/pick up time you will be charged a 50€ cancellation fee.
You can ring the car hire desk at the airport to notify them of your cancellation.
However, you will still need to cancel or your booking online.
If you fail to cancel your booking, this is classed as a “No Show”.
Your car hire company will be expecting your arrival. They will have prepared the relevant paper work ready for you to collect the hire care. The rental car will have been allocated to your booking.
Therefore, a refund will not be made for a “No Show”.
