There are reserved parking spaces for disabled drivers and passengers in Tenerife
These are clearly marked both in car parks and on road parking and parking bays.
Disabled parking spaces are usually to be found on the ground floor of most car parks.
Some car parks permit disabled drivers and passengers who hold a disability parking permit to park free of charge. You will need to check with the car park attendant whether they will allow you to park free of charge. You are only permitted to park in these clearly marked areas. If you are a disabled driver or passenger you must hold and display an up to date current disability parking permit in your car at all times.
Most of the theme parks and beaches have disabled parking spaces in convenient locations enabling ease of access to the attraction.
The Blue Badge Parking Scheme helps you to park as close to your destination as possible if you are disabled.
Blue Badges are now European badges and are recognised in Spain and the Canary Islands and it enables you to have the same parking rights as any Spanish citizen with disability.
Blue Badge permit holders do not have the same parking rights in Spain as in the U.K.
